FRENCH WEDDINGS
Celebrant for French WeddingsI love France & French and I like to combine my passion for ceremonies with some time there. It’s my ambition to be fluent in French

French Weddings
For reasons that are unclear, some years ago, and I mean years ago I was offered a free listing in French Wedding Suppliers Directory.
I felt that it was free and nice and I liked them and was keen to be seen. I also love and always have loved France. So I uploaded some photos and forgot about it.
But I kept getting enquiries, more than from any other platform. I wasn’t in the position to do any of them until this year. I now live 20 minutes from a ferry to France and close to Eurostar instead of central England. I recently had to use my French for a French friend’s funeral.
So it seemed the time was right to start encouraging those enquiries, opening that door…and I recently booked my first.

My relationship to France
I actually have French heritage my Grandma’s family were originally Huguenot French Dissidents…!
I’ve always felt an affinity with France and recently did a ceremony for a friend where I used my rusty French and delighted all the French guests.
As a 70s baby, a Gen Xer growing up in the South of England going to France in a camper van by ferry was the most affordable holiday to take.Â
At that time we were firmly in Europe and my generation of English kids were taught French as standard. I had a flair for it and did holiday exchanges there. I then was married to a person with free travel on French railways.
Now there has been a mass exodus of all my friends to France and so I have lots of people to visit.Â
Since 2016 I’ve been unable to take a holiday and feel its time to travel again. I also have a (now not secret) desire to polish up my A level French and become fluent in French.
BONJOUR
ARE YOU ENGLISH BUT MARRYING IN FRANCE?
I don’t blame you!
I have been a Wedding Celebrant since 2013 and have enjoyed the ones in Europe on The Portuguese Algarve Coast but France has always had my heart. I feel that it is time to explore Europe a little more and to indulge my ‘bucket list’ desire to become fluent in French.Â
It also seems to be a popular option to get married and France and bi-lingual French/English Celebrants have their place. I’m not bi-lingual (YET) but I intend to be. I hope to start working with French Wedding Planners & Venues.
I’m here for it and I’m here for you.

FRENCH WEDDING VENUE
Terra Rosa
For my first French Wedding next year I’m travelling to the South of France to Terra Rosa to marry a fantastically colourful people who have personally requested that I promise to wear bright fuschia pink…so there is an excuse to keep my hair colour.
Near ToulouseÂ
Nestling on its hillside, the Terra Rosa estate overlooks Albi and its valley, offering you a breathtaking view wherever you are.
This estate was completely renovated in 2022-2024 to provide the ideal setting for a wedding. Set in more than 5 hectares of beautifully landscaped grounds with olive trees.
This is what the website says “Like a small hamlet on a human scale, the property will make you say wow as soon as you arrive and will never cease to amaze you throughout your stay. That’s the feeling we had when we arrived here, a feeling shared by everyone who has stayed here, so why shouldn’t you?”
