🌺I’m Jess May, a Wedding Celebrant and I create Wedding Ceremonies which are all about choice.

🌸As a Wedding Celebrant I have always taken a very deliberate decision to never make ‘polarising’ content around Registrars.

🌸Whenever I work at Wedding Fairs I go out of my way to create connections with local Registrars.

🌺Many Celebrants are very explicit about Registrars being ‘OTHER’ and frankly ‘WORSE’.

🌺It gets pretty divisive out there. But I seek harmony and see us as different and collaborators.

🌺Usually Registrars will meet me tenatatively half way….but some times they’re outright icy.

🌸When they’ve been noticeably cold with me…it is when I’ve offered the idea of creating a ceremony with them with a couple who decided late in the process they wanted me…

🌺Well, this seems to make me enemies

🌸Which I genuinely couldn’t care about…

🌸BUT….COME ON! THIS COUPLE’S WEDDING HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THESE REGISTRARS….

🌺LET THEM HAVE WHAT THEY WANT AND NEED.

🌺Recently my friend Rosalie from Fusion Weddings @the_fusionwedding_celebrant very successfully created a wedding with some registrars…so IT CAN AND IS DONE

🌸Here’s my Wedding Celebrant’s TOP TIP for OUTDOORS WEDDINGS.

🌺I am literally never going to suggest that you don’t have an outdoors wedding ceremony.

🌸Because Outdoors Wedding Ceremonies are one of my fave things in the whole world.

🌺Destination Weddings are obviously not affected by weather concerns in the same way.

🌸But an Outdoors Wedding Ceremony in the UK….

🌸You know what I’m saying.

🌺But all you need to do is make sure that you have a back up plan…

🌺A marquee or a tipi

🌸Just know that it’s there just in case.

🌺 Check the weather in the morning.

🌺And see how it goes.

🌸Your wedding ceremony should be as stress free as you can make it.

🌸Having a Plan B helps with that with an Outdoors Wedding
